MassLive.com Now in its 25 year of service, the Springfield Materials Recycling Facility has diverted 1 million tons of recyclables from ending up in a landfill or from incineration, saved the Western Massachusetts communities $62 million in avoided dumping costs, and earned communities over $14.5 million in revenues from the sale of materials. read more
