Tech-savvy mass transit riders spent the day Saturday explaining their plans for how the Metropolitan Transportation Authority can improve and transform Staten Island's transit system. The first Staten Island Bus Hackathon, organized by New York University's Rudin Center for Transportation, the Transit Center , and the MTA, drew more than 150 coding and planning enthusiasts to lower Manhattan to present their proposals for transit improvement.
