Statistics Canada says retail sales up 1.0 per cent in May at $43 billion

Statistics Canada says retail sales rose 1.0 per cent to $43 billion in May, the third increase in four months. In volume terms, Statistics Canada says sales were up 0.4 per cent after removing the effects of price changes.
