Suspect in OPD officer hit-and-run asks for bond

Jessica Anderson sobbed in court Monday as prosecutors played a dash-cam video from the day that changed her life, a clip of her Orlando Police Department husband getting hit by a fleeing vehicle and falling to the ground in the middle of an intersection. In a moment of solidarity, Bridget Pine, widow of slain Orange County Sheriff's Office deputy Scott Pine, placed her hands on Anderson's shoulders and bowed her head before Anderson testified about her husband's injuries: The Andersons and more than a dozen other supporters, including uniformed OPD officers, were there to see if Edward Earl Kelty III, an 18-year-old charged with the crime, would get bond.
