A vacancy for a System Engineer mf for Satellite Navigation System Design has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Munich Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join TSPED14 PRS Signal Programmes. Your main tasks will include Being in charge of endtoend engineering, design and development of next generation navigation systems with a focus on navigation signals Applying modern telecommunications technologies transmission, modulationdemodulation and codingdecoding techniques Developing mathematical models and simulation tools to support the system design Carrying out numerical simulations of the overall system, satellite payload, monitoring ground stations and user terminals GNSS receivers Carrying out numerical simulations of signal parameters and degradation of these signals under the influence of for example linearnonlinear distortion, radio interference and multipath propagation Supporting design and design simulations with laboratory experiments and analysis of measurement data. Planning, conducting and analysing experimental investigations in the laboratory Working independently and being able to analyse wideranging, complex technical issues Presenting the results in the form of reports and to the customer, as well as on national and international conferences and symposia We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics or an equivalent qualification with a focus on telecommunications and high frequency technologies Practical and theoretical background in telecommunications engineering Very good knowledge of standard engineering software tools e.g. MATLAB, Simulink Elementary programming skills C, C Ability to work in an international team with international customers ESA, EC Fluent German and advanced English skills Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
