(Telecompaper) T-Mobile USA Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Braxton Carter said that he expects more consolidation in the US mobile market, reports Reuters. He made the case for a between T-Mobile and larger rival Sprint, but declined to say if they had talked. Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia investor conference in New York, he said that it was 'the logical ultimate combination'. Meanwhile, T-Mobile US plans to stop selling BlackBerry smartphones in its shops and ship them directly instead. David Carey, executive vice president for corporate services, told Reuters that 'keeping stock in the retail distribution system was inefficient' because there was not high demand for these devices from consumers. He added that BlackBerry smartphones were mostly bought by businesses who do not make purchasing decisions in stores.
