(Telecompaper) UK home broadband and phone provider TalkTalk has reported total revenue up 1.8 percent to GBP 843 million in the six months to 30 September. On-net revenue rose 6.8 percent year-on-year to GBP 612 million. Headline EBITDA was GBP 76 million for the first half, in line with expectations, down from GBP 147 million a year earlier after GBP 86 million investment in scaling new products. TalkTalk added 167,000 new TV customers in Q2 to reach 557,000, with 56,000 fully unbundled net additions in the quarter. On-net ARPU for Q2 was up 2.8 percent to GBP 26.08, from GBP 25.37 a year earlier. Broadband net additions were 5,000 for the quarter to reach a total base of 4.07 million, with fibre customer additions of 47,000 to reach 142,000. It also added 34,000 mobile customers in the quarter to reach 236,000. The unbundling programme continued during H1 with 255 new exchanges added, extending TalkTalk's reach to 2,979 exchanges and over 96 percent of the UK population.
