We are currently looking for a Technical Designer to support our customer in Germany. Technical Designer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European leading system house, specialised in development and implementation of high technology solutions for space. Your responsibilities will include Design and detailed construction of assemblies and individual parts using CATIA V5, considering the design space and the requirements of assembly Creation of standardized manufacturing documents item and assembly drawings, part lists, route maps and procedures Assembly studies and monitoring of the mechanical interfaces as well as creation of the appropriate drawings Support of design tradeoffs in collaboration with other technical disciplines optics, structural and thermal analysis, electronics, etc. Assisting in the creation of technical documentation Support of the production planning and maintenance. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Technical education in mechanical design or engineering degree Several years of professional experience in the field of construction as well as indepth knowledge of design methodology Knowledge about the possibilities of manufacturing processes in prototyping Solid experience in CAD design with CATIA V5 Experience in the design of lightweight and sandwich structures aluminum or fiber composite technology and or optomechanical assemblies are advantageous. Experience in the manufacturing and installation of complex assemblies would be an advantage Knowledge in optics and or structural mechanics Fluency in English German is considered an asset.
