A vacancy for a Telecom System Support Engineer to Frequency Coordination mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Telecom Systems department and will be in charge of providing support to the Telecommunication Satellite Projects and to the Regulatory Team in the domain of frequency coordination. The mission will be to develop the expertise and required tools for performing system analysis and assessing the performances of telecommunication satellite systems, taking into account interferences tofrom other satellite and terrestrial systems. The support can be required for projects or for bid preparation. Currently, it is urgently needed for an ongoing project for which the satellite operations are beginning. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. In this context, your main tasks and responsibilities will include For project support Establishing the reference scenario for the interference analysis Analysing frequency coordination proposals from counterparts Establishing frequency coordination proposals to allow an optimal service maximum number of satisfied links and maximum overall datarate for the reference scenario. This is currently being performed with the support of a telecom system tool developed specifically for an ongoing programme At the customers invitation, participating with frequency coordination meetings with counterparts. When needed during meetings, analysing proposals and establishing counter proposals Explaining to the customer the frequency coordination agreement and its translation into the payload setting and constraints on its service Analysing the monitoring data from the CSM to acquire valuable input on the interference scenarios Driving and reporting on all the above activities. For bid or advanced study support Establishing the reference scenario for the interference analysis Analysing both the generated and received interference tofrom other systems other satellites or terrestrial systems Assessing the impact on system performance Proposing mitigation techniques or actions Presenting the summarised results internally or to the customers. This role will involve some travel for business one day to one week, once every two months, abroad and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Masters degree, ideally in Telecommunications, 2 years of experience in the engineering and sizing of satellite telecommunications systems or services, Good knowledge of Telecommunication network engineering, Link budgets, System simulation and the associated tools, Capacity to propose innovative solutions, Good reporting skills, Autonomy, Flexibility and ability to work within multinational teams, Negotiation level of French and English.
