Telecom lines to be moved for river bridge project

It's not a project being undertaken by the contractors preparing to rebuild the railroad bridge over the Kankakee River, but the work is necessary because of the bridge project. To make high speed rail from Chicago to St. Louis, MO viable, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Illinois Department of Transportation are building a second track from Joliet to just north of Gardner, which will accommodate the movement of the passenger trains without interruption by freight activities.
