Telefonica builds 5G network at Mercedes-Benz plant

(Telecompaper) Telefonica Germany said that it is cooperating with Mercedes-Benz to put in place a 5G mobile network for the production of vehicles at the carmaker's Factory 56 plant in Sindelfingen. Telefonica and Ericsson, the other partner in the project, will install the 5G network for a production space of more than 20,000 m2. Mercedes-Benz will operate the network.
