Telefonica secures mobile license renewal in Peru

(Telecompaper) Telefonica has reached an agreement with the Peruvian government to renew its mobile-phone concession for almost 19 years, Bloomberg reports. The operator agreed to invest PEN 3 billion (approximately USD 1.18 billion) to expand rural coverage.
