000 ABPZ20 KNHC 031732 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Wed Jul 3 2024 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Offshore of Southern Mexico (EP91): Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure located a few hundred miles south of the southern coast of Mexico have become a little better organized this morning. Environmental conditions appear conducive for some further development of this system during the next day or so, and a short-lived tropical depression could form during that time. On Friday, the system is forecast to move over cooler waters and development after that time is not expected. Windward Islands and Eastern Caribbean Sea (AL96): A tropical wave located near the Windward Islands continues to produce an area of disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. Development, if any, of this system should be slow to occur while it moves quickly westward to west-northwestward at 20 to 25 mph across the Caribbean Sea during the next few days.
