"Growing crops is only half the job," AG Kawamura said. "The other half is marketing -- and if you don't do that right, you will probably go out of business," Kawamura, founding member of Orange County Produce and head of the 114-acre Orange County Great Park Farm. Taking a crop directly to farmers' markets, grocery stores and restaurants to sell is only a small part of the marketing job.
