Traditional hardware release cycles are a thing of the past
2013-02-12 17:40:54| Extremetech
Last week, we learned that the Ouya -- the $99 Kickstarted Android gaming console -- would get a yearly hardware refresh, which would be sold for the original price of $99. The Ouya isn't exactly a traditional game console, so a non-traditional release cycle isn't entirely mind-blowing. However, the Ouya's proposed release cycle is representative of release cycles in general, and how they haven't been traditional for some time.
