Huffington Post: The faithful have much to celebrate in the president's State of the Union address. It reveals a new embrace of St. Francis' message about caring for God's creation, and his people. Cynics may say President Obama is brushing up in advance of his March meeting with His Holiness, Pope Francis, in Rome; I have faith in the president's commitment to using his executive authority to protect "our air, our water, our communities."
But the jury is still out, so to speak, as to what he will accomplish....
