TxDOT plans $26.3M railway underpass project in Dalhart County

The Texas Department of Transportation has earmarked $5.6 million in state funds to give tractor-trailers more clearance at a railroad underpass underpass on U.S. Highway 87 in Dalhart County. "This project involves lowering the roadway underneath the Union Pacific Railroad underpass so that it gives more clearance so that more trucks can go through there," said Paul Braun, TxDOT spokesman for the Amarillo District.
