Detroit News: The U.S. Energy Department said Thursday it wants to extend funding for three bioenergy research centers for another five years as part of a $125 million proposal. The three centers -- the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center led by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in partnership with Michigan State University, the BioEnergy Research Center led by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Joint BioEnergy Institute led by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory -- were established in 2007 as a program...
