Compute Through Power Loss (CTPL) technology, featured in MSP430FR6972, enables context save and restore after application unexpectedly loses power. Along with 64 kB non-volatile FRAM, MCU integrates smart analog and digital peripherals. Specific features include LCD controller, 12-bit differential ADC with internal window comparator, and 256-bit AES accelerator. Other features include 52 capacitive-touch-enabled GPIO, 5 timers, comparator, RTC counter, and SPI, UART, and I²C communications.
