BusinessGreen: Thirteen of the 14 warmest years on record have occurred in the 21st century, according to a UN agency.
The latest annual statement by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) confirms the "long-term global warming trend", with average temperatures over 2013 tying 2007 as the sixth warmest year ever recorded.
Each of the last three decades has been warmer than the previous one, culminating with 2001-2010 breaking the record for the warmest decade on record, WMO said.
