UPS Sees December Shipment Spike, Tops Q3 Views

The shipper delivered 1.1 billion packages worldwide during the third quarter and expects December shipments to grow 11%, year over year, from last holiday season. Earnings grew 13.8% to $1.32, beating forecasts by 4 cents, and revenue rose 5.7% to $14.3 billion, slightly topping views for $14.2 billion.
