Also, Kate Spade & Co returned to profit, while L Brands, Ross Stores, and Perry Ellis lifted their full-year guidance. TJX Companies booked earnings and sales growth, but Nordstrom, Dick's Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart lowered their full-year outlook. JC Penney narrowed its loss, while Macy's, Urban Outfitters, and The Buckle all posted double-digit earnings declines.
