In the most recent fourth-quarter filings from US apparel brands and retailers, both Skechers and Columbia Sportswear published record sales growth and higher earnings, while Macy's saw sales trends improve, despite what it says was a "challenging year". Rocky Brands expressed disappointment with its finish to 2015, but offered an optimistic outlook for the coming fiscal year, while Dillard's experienced a "difficult" quarter that led to a fall in both sales and earnings.
