US: Retail imports surge ahead of possible port disruption

Import volumes at major US retail container ports are expected to surge 7.5% in June, as retailers bring "unusually high quantities" of back-to-school and holiday merchandise into the country early to try to avoid any disruptions from a potential strike threat on the West Coast.
