While rated for up to 150 lb/hr throughput, Maguire® VBD™ 150 exceeds 200 lb/hr with hygroscopic materials such as ABS, acrylic, nylon, polycarbonate, polyetherimide, and PBT. Process-ready resin is delivered in 30+ min, and gravity moves material through 3 vertically arranged vessels (heating hopper, vacuum vessel, and pressurized retention/take-away hopper); discharge of material from one vessel to next is controlled by slide-gate valves.
