(Telecompaper) Video-sharing website Vimeo has acquired OTT subscription platform VHX for an undisclosed amount. Vimeo said that with the addition of VHX, it now offers a complete streaming ecosystem for individual creators, niche programmers and major media partners to offer SVoD channels. Vimeo customers can now launch branded SVoD channels across websites, mobile and TV apps. VHX co-founder and CEO Jamie Wilkinson will report to Vimeo CEO Kerry Trainor.
