Vodacom Group FY revenue rises 4.3% to ZAR 90.1 bln, customers up 5.8%, net profit dips

(Telecompaper) Vodacom Group said its revenue increased by 4.3 percent to ZAR 90.1 billion in the year ended 31 March. It ended the fiscal year with 110 million customers, up by 5.8 percent. Operating profit rose 1.1 percent to ZAR 24.51 billion, or 7.4 percent excluding a one-off, non-cash IFRS 2 charge of ZAR 1.4 billion and transaction costs of ZAR 124 million relating to the BEE deal. Net profit decreased slightly to ZAR 15.44 billion from ZAR 15.56 billion in 2018.
