(Telecompaper) Afrimax announced that Vodafone Cameroon ceased to operate on 10 November, after it reluctantly concluded that it was no longer commercially viable to resume services in the country. The company, which was licensed to use the Vodafone brand under a licensing agreement with Vodafone Group, was forced to halt its activities on 14 September, after its licence was ruled invalid by the ministry of posts and telecommunications. Afrimax said that Vodafone Group had no equity interest in Afrimax or Vodafone Cameroon.
