Vodafone Ireland launches IPTV service

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Ireland has launched TV services for the first time, delivered through IPTV via high-speed broadband. The premium service is available from EUR 40 per month to all new and existing Vodafone Home (Broadband) customers. As part of the Vodafone TV service, the operator is launching a new TV Anywhere app for mobile customers, which is included in the cost of the Vodafone TV package. The Vodafone Basic TV package offers a minimum of 55 TV channels, plus unlimited broadband and calls for EUR 40 per month for six months, rising to EUR 70 per month thereafter. The Vodafone TV Plus package includes all Basic TV elements with extra channels, unlimited broadband and calls from EUR 40 per month for six months, rising to EUR 80 per month thereafter. Customers can also add on Sky Sports and Sky Movies packages.
