Vodafone first to connect 5G phones to live network in Madrid and Barcelona

(Telecompaper) Vodafone has announced the first successful connection of 5G-enabled smartphones to its live network during trials conducted in Madrid and Barcelona ahead of MWC 2019. The tests were run over a four-week period using three 5G smartphones that will be launched later this year, with the company able to make an ultra-high-resolution 4K video call on its network.
