Wesfarmers eyeing agriculture investment

Managing director Richard Goyder said there were significant opportunities in the years ahead, but he declined to reveal whether the Perth-based company, which owns supermarket chain Coles, was considering buying into the Elders agricultural business. "We'd love to be a participating in expanding the opportunity for Australian primary producers if we could find a way," Mr Goyder told reporters after the company's annual general meeting in Perth on Thursday.
