WhatsApp starts full encryption

2016-04-06 09:05:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) WhatsApp announced it's started full end-to-end encryption across its messaging app. Every call, message, photo, video, file and voice message sent over the app is encrypted by default, including group chats. WhatsApp said the encryption will ensure communication is private: "No one can see inside that message. Not cybercriminals. Not hackers. Not oppressive regimes. Not even us," the company's founders said in a blog posting.
