With wet weather and soggy fields can come higher possibility for disease. And with low prices comes cost control. That leaves farmers with a choice: spend the money, or save the money. Will you use a preemptive fungicide application this year to keep diseases at bay (and hoping for a yield increase)? Will you only spray a fungicide if there is a disease presence? Or, will you not spray fungicide this year because of the cost? Take our latest poll and let us know. Feel free to leave comments about fungicide plans on your farm this year. Yes, I will spray fungicide before diseases are present. I will only spray if warranted by disease levels.
