A team of scientists Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, has developed the world's smallest medical implant to monitor critical chemicals in the blood, and communicates with a smartphone. For patient monitoring, and for self-quantifiers, a device like this would quickly become indispensable once introduced.
