YouTube launches subscription music service, renames Red YouTube Premium

(Telecompaper) YouTube announced the expansion of its ad-free subscription service to new countries as well as a new dedicated music platform. YouTube Red, the ad-free video service, will be renamed YouTube Premium, and include the music experience for an extra USD 2 in monthly price.

Cisco growth continues with sales up 4% in April quarter

(Telecompaper) Cisco reported revenues for its fiscal third quarter to April of USD 12.5 billion, up 4 percent year-on-year. This was the company's second consecutive quarter of growth and in line with Cisco's outlook. The company forecast fiscal Q4 revenues up 4-6 percent year-on-year.

US Senate passes resolution to overturn FCC net neutrality reform

(Telecompaper) The US Senate approved a resolution that aims to undo the FCC's deregulation of internet services, the Washington Post reports. The symbolic move was led by the Democrats, with the support of three Republican Senators. However, the Republican-led House of Representatives is unlikely to take up the measure.
