Schweitzer-Mauduit says no decision taken on closure of specialty paper PM 1 at Papeteries de Saint-Girons in France Taking issue with union reports, Schweitzer-Mauduit says that no decision has been made yet on the future of the 5,000 tonne/yr specialty paper PM 1 at its Papeteries de Saint-Girons mill in France. In late February, a CGT union representative told RISI that SWM was planning to close the PM under an early retirement voluntary redundancy scheme, with some 55 jobs at risk of being cut as a result.
