Aerospace and defense industry achieved a number of its top priorities in 2015. Despite being delayed, Export-Import Bank of the United States was reauthorized for 4 years. Relief from budget caps, imposed under Budget Control Act of 2011, was achieved for 2016 and 2017 via passage of Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015. Also, there were hopeful signs that year-long omnibus with extension of R&D Tax Credit will pass. AIA President and CEO Dave Melcher said, "...there’s still a lot of work to do."

General Mills Reports Progress on Sodium Reduction

General Mills has reported on the progress it has made against its publicly commitment to reduce sodium by 20% across 10 key U.S. retail product categories by the end of 2015. General Mills has met or exceeded its stated goal in seven of 10 categories, with reductions across the 10 categories ranging from 18% to 35%.

European shares boosted by progress in Paris

LONDON, Dec 15 European shares rose on Tuesday to bounce back from stinging losses in the previous session, as gains in major French companies propped up the region's equity markets. Shares in German chipmaker Dialog Semiconductor slumped 9.7 percent, however, dragging down peers such as ARM , after Dialog slashed its revenue guidance.

Reuters: U.S. President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande spoke by phone on Thursday to discuss progress in international climate change talks taking place in Paris, the White House said. "President Obama and President Hollande reviewed the progress that has been made and underscored their firm commitment to work together to reach an ambitious and durable climate change agreement," the White House said in a statement.
