CTV: The federal government wants dirty gas-guzzling mowers to get off everybody's lawn. Proposed new regulations for off-road, small spark-ignition engines have been posted in the Canada Gazette for public comment. The new rules are designed to cut exhaust fumes and gasoline evaporation from gas-powered machines. The Marysville-based lawn and garden company released a product this summer called EveryDrop that can curb a lawn's thirst by 25 percent - helping Californians meet requirements to reduce water use while keeping their grass alive. EveryDrop is a surfactant - a chemical like soap that reduces the surface tension of water, allowing it to more evenly spread out and be absorbed.
