Cited for his leadership in renewable and clean energy sectors as well as promoting national balanced energy policies, Dan Arvizu, director of Energy Department's NREL, has been elected to membership in National Academy of Engineering. NREL director since 2005, Arvizu is also president of Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC. Arvizu holds bachelor's in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University and a master's and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
