Dutch Apps Market is a quartely report that looks at mobile apps development in the Dutch market. The report focuses on apps for communication, instant messaging and social networking. It provides insight on download behaviour during last three months, which kind of Apps are downloaded and which of the mentioned Apps are installed on smartphone. It also gives insight in actual use of mentioned Apps and appreciation from the users. Split is given for market, provider (Hi, KPN, T-Mobile, and Vodafone), age, gender, pre/postpaid, type of OS (Apple, Blackberry, Windows Phones, Andriod) and for Android also a split on handset brand (HTC or Samsung). This report is based on the continuous online survey conducted by the Telecompaper Consumer Panel over the past twelve months. Every quarter at least 7,500 consumers are asked about their use of mobile telephony, broadband connections, fixed telephony and TV, including details on their current situation, purchasing habits, usage and churn. Results are CBS stratified for gender, age (12-80) and education

97 Percent of Company Mobile Apps Are Insecure

Mobile apps for consumers have been criticized for gathering more information from users' devices than they need. It seems, however, that mobile apps from companies fare no better. Ninety-seven percent of some 2,000 mobile apps produced by 600 companies accessed at least one private information source on the device they were installed on, according to a report released Monday by HP.
