This post is classified in the A2A4 grade band of the Coordinated Organisations salary scale. LOCATION ESTEC, Noordwijk The Netherlands. DUTIES The postholder will report to the Head of the Radio Navigation Systems and Techniques Section. The incumbent will be in charge of defining and running Security Operations SECOPS for the Public Regulated Service PRS Laboratory and will be the main interface with the TEC Security Officer, the ESA Security Office ESO and the Galileo Security Office GSO. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for the maintenance of the laboratory infrastructure and will be the focal point for securityrelated matters in the division. In this role, the incumbent will be required to advise and debrief the Head of Section and the Head of Division on a regular basis and as required by operational exigencies. Specific responsibilities include the following producing, maintaining and updating related SECOPS procedures in line with the evolution of the ESA Security Directives and of the laboratory infrastructure, with a focus on improving operability safety security leading the maintenance of the accreditation file of the facility in cooperation with the ESA Security Office and other relevant parties ensuring correct operations of the laboratory in line with applicable security requirements and security operational constraints, in particular in the areas of asset classification and control and of physical, personnel and document security ensuring daily coverage of nominal and emergency operations in coordination with other security officers handling routine operational activities, such as the maintenance of required databases e.g. RFV, Equipment Clearances Debriefing, etc and action items, reporting on activities, supporting people working in the laboratory, organising equipment transportation, disseminating information and organising dedicated training or briefings as required contributing to the PRS experiments and to the operations of the laboratory equipment participating to the follow up of industrial contracts related to the field of GNSS security, technology development, laboratory tool and equipment procurement, etc When on duty and in the event of an emergency, the postholder is required to be able to act outside nominal working hours and, if necessary, to be able to reach the laboratory within a maximum of three hours. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in telecommunications or aerospace engineering and a good background in satellite navigation and security engineering applied to space systems. Candidates should have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse and international team environment and to define and implement solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlines. In addition, they should have good analytical, organisational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologies. Applicants must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administration. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another member state language is an asset.
