The SU Council of Trustees on Dec. 19 chose current interim President George "Jody" Harpster and Dr. Kenneth Steven Hawkinson, provost and academic vice president at Western Illinois University, as the finalists following more than a year-long nationwide search. The trustees' recommendation now goes to Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Chancellor Frank Brogan then to the Board of Governors.
