For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for an EPSSG Radio Occultation Science Support fm at Eumetsat. Tasks The EPSSG programme has started its phase B, during which the user and system requirements are being consolidated in iteration with the users, and different system concepts to implement these requirements are elaborated and tradedoff. The activities of the Key person will include scientific aspects related to the development of the product processing facilities of the EPSSG ground segment. The Key person will work in a matrix structure providing crossdivisional support and be hosted in the Remote Sensing and Products Division of the Technical and Science Support Department. Preparation of algorithm theoretical basis documents for the generation of level 1 and selected level 2 products Preparation of product generation specifications for the product processing facilities Prototyping of product generation functions Generation of product contents specifications Preparation of test data Preparation of initial validation plans Contribution to the generation of performance budgets Conduct of internal studies related to mission requirements refinements Assessment of results from external studies Contribution to the initiation of scientific support studies System meetings and activities of instrument functional chain teams IFCT1 Participation in reviews Essential requirements The Key person shall have the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum level of supervision.
