HMI Software Engineer Start date and duration Position starting as soon as feasible on a one year contract. Client and Location For one of our Clients, we are currently recruiting for a HMI Software Engineer for their location in Maastricht, the Netherlands. They are committed to building, together with their partners, a Single European Sky that will deliver the Air Traffic Management ATM performance required for the twentyfirst century and beyond. Tasks and Responsibilities The candidate will be required to develop CWP software modules and documentation changes from specification to design, coding and testing. You will be responsible for the following activities Develop software modules for the CWP. This includes designing, developing, maintaining and providing support on applications in the areas of data processing and HMI application Perform modifications to source code, documentation and test suite Review request for changes, clarify the understanding of the intention, perform prototyping where necessary, and create unambiguous software specifications Analyse modifications required to source code, documentation and test suite, and define test scope, to implement problem fixes and changes Perform and document tests in line with test scope defined before Review source code, documentation, test suite changes and test result by peers Perform investigation of incidents and problems and provide solutions Debrief on the status of work and potential technical an schedule problems Execute tasks in accordance with governing quality, safety and security management procedures Experience and Education Higher technical education in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent professional knowledge At least 3 years experience in developing large scale 100 kSLOC operational HMI software, preferably in a Unix environment At least 3 years experience with modern C, including C11, template and preferably metaprogramming Experience in developing and maintaining software and documentation in accordance with recognized industrial quality and safety standards SWAL 3 or equivalent Excellence command of the English language written and spoken Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems, and to present key issues and recommended solutions in a clear, structured and concise way. We are looking for a Software Validation OnBoard Ground Engineer to work within the Flight Software Systems Section, to support the JUICE Mission and in particular to the Radio Plasma and Wave Instrument RPWI which will characterize the radio emission and plasma environment of the Jupiter System. You will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section to work for the Swedish Institute of Space Physics in Uppsala on site and will be in charge of the following initial tasks Development and validation of the software for the Radio Plasma and Wave Instrument RPWI of the ESA JUICE mission.
