For one of our customers, we are looking for SCOS2000 software developers that are eager to further develop this legacy suite of mission control systems. Responsibilities The typical tasks include but are not limited to Software design to implement features according to formal specifications Investigating software technologies and methods for potential use including prototyping Implementing software following modern, professional software engineering standards and methods Unit and component testing of the implemented software User requirement analysis and software requirement specification This is a fulltime position to be located at our customers premises in the Greater Munich Area with the planned start date ASAP. Qualifications Competencies In addition to having a university degree in computer science or similar, the candidate shall cover as many of the below requirements as possible Hands on experience as a programmer with C and or Java Very good understanding of SCOS2000 Experience using UML Familiarity with Linux operating system Experience using automation tools like Maven Experience writing documentation for code Speak and write English fluently and have good communication skills overall You will be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, able to work calmly and accurately under stress and able to work without supervision. Summary Software development in an international and multicultural environment for the Space Sector. Essential duties and responsibilities The Software Developer, who reports to the Project Managers, is assigned the next responsibilities Write software requirements specifications Analyse, design and, produce technical architecture for new software systems Implement software systems according to requirements and architecture design Collaborate in the testing and validation of software systems Maintain and support existing software systems Write technical reports at all stages of the software development process Education and experience Master in Computer Science or equivalent. Solid experience in space related applications is a valuable asset. 6 years of experience in SW development 3 years of experience in the required technology Language skills English Fluent German is an asset.
