(Telecompaper) Xiaomi announced two new smartphones in its low-cost Redmi range, the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom edition. These add to the Redmi K30 first launched in December 2019 as the first 5G model under the brand. In addition, Xiaomi introduced a new smart display and smart TV under the Redmi brand.

(Telecompaper) Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 9S smartphone, the international version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro introduced in India earlier this month as a successor to the popular Redmi Note 8 Pro. The mid-range Android 10 device has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display, with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC. Xiaomi was keen to emphasise the phone's 5,020mAh battery, which it says keeps users fully powered throughout the day, even during heavy usage. It also comes with 18W fast charging and a 22.5W in-box charger.

Xiaomi unveils flagship Mi 10, plans to increase R&D spend

People familiar with the matter said the four companies are working on the final details of what will be known as the Global Developer Service Alliance (GDSA).

Xiaomi spins off Poco brand, to launch more premium phones in India

(Telecompaper) Xiaomi said that Poco, the sub-brand it unveiled in the summer of 2018, is now an independent company, TechCrunch reported. Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar made the announcement, saying Poco had grown into its own identity and that it was right to let the secondary brand operate on its own. Xiaomi did not specifiy now Poco was spun off or how it would be structured.
