Hydraulic Institute Guideline for Rotodynamic Pump Efficiency Prediction HI 20.3–2015 helps users, specifiers, and purchasers of pumps understand what variables, design, and selection factors affect efficiency of rotodynamic pumps. Users will be able to calculate normally attainable efficiency and uncertainty band for variety of pump types. Efficiencies shown in guideline are those generally obtained using common manufacturing practices and are based on survey of pump manufacturers.

Hydraulic Institute (HI) collaborated with its NPSH committee members to develop technical webinar program focused on NPSH and its relationship to cavitation and other pump operation. Targeting pump distributors, manufacturers, and end-users, webinar concerns calculating available NPSH, understanding how insufficient NPSHA will affect pump operation, and what NPSH margin is needed to ensure good performance longevity to pump equipment. Bruce Ticknor will serve as course instructor.

Titled Rotodynamic Pumps: Guidelines for NPSH Margin, webinar instructs participants on how to calculate available NPSH, understand how insufficient NPSHA will affect pump operation and what NPSH margin is needed to ensure performance longevity. Webinar will be conducted January 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm ET.
