Cirrus Logic posts lower Q2 profits, higher revenue

The Austin-based company posted a quarterly profit of $852 million, or 1 cent per share, on revenue of $210.2 million compared with a profit of $1 billion, or 16 cents per share, on revenue of $152.5 million during the same period last year. On a non-GAAP basis, Cirrus Logic reported earnings of 68 cents per share versus analysts' estimates of 54 cents per share.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. said its third-quarter net income climbed 16% from a year ago, supported by higher truckload rates and increased less-than-truckload shipments. The third-party logistics provider said net income increased to $125 million, or 85 cents per share, from $107.7 million, or 69 cents, a year earlier.
