Clamping System, PCBN Grades enable efficient cast iron machining.
2013-09-19 14:31:48| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Beyond Shield™ has 3-point, carbide-clad clamp that exhibits wear resistance against chip flow and applies clamping force toward front of insert to reduce vibrations that can lead to cracking/failure. With this rigid clamping system, smaller IC PCBN (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) inserts can perform well in same applications as larger IC inserts. Available grades include KBK35™ with multi-modal PCBN structure and CVD coating as well as KB1340™ for parts involving aged cast iron. Available in 32, 40, 60 and 70 Shore A Hardness, 4 overmolding grades of Maxelast® TPEs can be used for bonding onto PE (polyethylene) used for handles, grips, cosmetic cases, and other applications. Chemical bond between soft elastomeric alloy and rigid PE substrate results in products that are slip resistant as well as ergonomic and soft to touch. Additionally, TPE provides shock absorption for grips. Grades do not require any drying and can be colored. This story is related to the following:Thermoplastic Elastomers

TPE Grades are formulated for profile extrusion.
2013-07-09 14:31:03| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Available from 30 Shore A to 36 Shore D, Maxelast® D Series TPEs are supplied in natural pellets, closely resemble vulcanized rubber, and exhibit chemical and oil resistance. Optimized characteristics include energy-absorbing performance, weatherability, and coefficient of friction. Able to be co-extruded for soft/hard combinations, TPEs suit large or small and simple or complex profile extrusion designs. Applications include piping end caps, architectural gaskets, and electrical components. This story is related to the following:Thermoplastic Elastomers
