In our Security Department in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich we are now hiring for the following position Cyber Security Internal Auditor fmd Your Mission As a core team member of the Galileo Service Operator GSOp, DLR GfR mbH operates and manages the constellation of Galileo satellites from the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen in Germany GCCD. In the scope of the GalileoProject you as a Cyber Security Internal Auditor analyze security risks in accordance with the requirements of our Galileo client EU GNSS Agency and are in charge for the implementation of appropriate security measures. Within the Cyber Security group of the DLR GfR you plan, implement and analyze internal and autonomous Cyber Security Audits in accordance with the external Partners and report results to the DLR GfR management and to external Partners. Your focus is to identify noncompliances of applicable requirements and to identify and to assess technical vulnerabilities. In the context of the position, you will concretely take on the following tasks Identification of vulnerabilities and noncompliances of applicable requirements of the corresponding GSOP products and services Evaluation of the level of compliance and performance of cyber security requirements Assessment and reporting of the effectiveness and efficiency of the information security management system Planning, execution and analysis of cyber security audits Participation in and reporting to board meetings Reporting to GfR CEO and to external Partners Evaluation of the implementation of security measures Contribution to and improvement of the Security Awareness program Providing advice and assessments related to cyber security vulnerabilities Your Qualification University degree in a relevant field Computer Science, Telecommunications Economics, Engineering, Physics or equivalent Strong working experience in relevant field Technical knowledge of IT systems and security mechanisms, preferred within space or defense programs Knowledge of audit standards such as ISO 27007 and audit techniques. ISACA CISA certification or equivalent. The GSOp Team Issue 1 October 2018 The person will operate in our office in Transinne and on the Galileo Remote Sites and collaborate on a daily basis with the Galileo Service Operator GSOp team. The Cyber Internal Auditor will ensure the efficient, transparent and sharp execution of all the cyber security activities continuously assessing the cyber security teamwork and auditing the CSM activities on regular basis by an approved internal auditing plan. The CIA will plan, schedule and perform audits in the perimeter of the cyber policy to Evaluate the level of compliance of the implementation of cyber requirements Identify vulnerabilities Identify non compliances Evaluate the compliance level of the information security management system and implemented security measures with defined requirements, security policies in place and the appropriate safety standards Provide independent feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of information security management system and security measures The CIA will report on audit results to the program manager andor operations director and to the prime contractual entities, if requested or if foreseen in the auditing planning documents. Duties The postholder will report to the Head of Office in managing the following activities participating in cyber boards comprising the Cyber Security Manager CSM and the Cyber Internal Auditor CIA of the EC, ESA and GSA, to provide recommendations on decisionmaking for cyber management, in particular when granting requests for waivers to applicable cyber requirements and cyber policy from the European Commission ensuring correct flowdown and followup of cyber requirements and policies defined by the programme at ESA and industry levels for the Galileo and EGNOS infrastructures for development projects under ESA responsibility planning, organising and conducting periodic audits of cyber security at the Galileo and EGNOS infrastructures for development projects under ESA responsibility evaluating the level of compliance of the information security management system and implemented security measures with the applicable cyber requirements and cyber security policies providing independent feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of the information security management system and security measures carrying out this role impartially and independently of Galileo and EGNOS project management authorities reporting directly to the Director of Navigation any major cyber security issues identified in carrying out these independent auditing tasks maintaining the directorate cyber audit plan and ensuring that any audit requests issued by the Director of Navigation, GSA or European Commission are taken into account reporting regularly at least every six months to the Director of Navigation and also directly to the CSM and CIA of the European Commission on the cyber status of infrastructures in development under Directorate responsibility Galileo first and future generations, EGNOS compiling cyber reports from the CIA appointed by ESA contractor entities in charge of EGNOS and Galileo infrastructure development reporting any cyber incident related to GalileoEGNOS immediately to either the Galileo and EGNOS CSMs or to the Galileo Security Monitoring Centre GSMC interfacing when necessary with the ESA Security Office andor Galileo Security Accreditation Authority Galileo Security Accreditation Panel, GSAP, Security Accreditation Board, SAB participating as observercyber adviser in Galileo and EGNOS project reviews related to infrastructure development participating as observercyber adviser in Galileo and EGNOS acceptance reviews in particular when the cyber status is discussed participating as a permanent member in cyber boards internal to the ESA Navigation perimeter Galileo, EGNOS and in missionlevel cyber boards Galileo, EGNOS regular reporting to the Head of Navigation Security Office.
